Couple Style Guide

Ladies First

Pick your outfit first, and style your partner around it! Find something that makes you feel beautiful - it will show in the photos. My favourite recommendation is long, flowy dresses. It allows me to create movement in your photos (and gives you something to do with your hands!).
Partners - Jeans, khakis pants and a casual dress shirt generally pairs perfectly. Add a nice open jacket or sweater for some variety if you'd like!

Colours

Start with a neutral base - creams, whites, browns, greys. Add on from there. Jewel, earth, and muted tones all pair perfectly. Please avoid florescent colours as they will reflect on to your face. Generally, having a neutral colour for your top tends to photograph the best.

Texture over patterns

Knit, gauze, linen, lace are all your friends. They add dimension to photos, while keeping them timeless. When adding patterns, try to avoid overly busy or large patterns.

Shoes
Hats, knit sweaters, dainty jewelry all add interest to your photos. It pulls the outfits together, and we can also add/remove things to switch things up!
Accessories
Heels are cute, but if we are in nature, they might not be your best friend. Wedges or flats are generally better unless we are doing an urban location. When in doubt, go barefoot!
What to avoid
Florescent, logos, or lots of writing. Avoid wearing the same outfits (ex. both in white shirt and jeans). Anything that makes you feel self conscious or uncomfortable! If you have transition glasses, please bring a different pair or wear contacts.
